Relationships Wanted

beach-walkingMost people enjoy having a close friend or two. Going through life on our own isn’t always that much fun. Someone to talk with, share a meal or coffee/tea with, take a walk or run with, work with, or even to travel with, can make those moments be much  more enjoyable.

Obviously, marriage should be the closest of our relationships. To be life partners with someone, a friendship, in addition to loving that person, is key. You would be around them much of the time, so being a friend, while doing things together, should be the norm.

Finding a friend isn’t always that easy. Who is one you can accomplish what it is you need in a friend? Where are they, and how do you find them? In building healthy relationships, we must first identify what our needs are. A companion for outings, like sporting events, one to share with, one to take walks with or exercise with, or maybe one to hang out with a lot. Whatever the case may be, there is a person to fit that role. Try an online dating service, to help you find that person you are searching for. The best ones out there, like Match.Com, are ready and able to help you right now.

marathon-kids1This past Weekend, on Saturday, my kids and I joined in at the Marathon Kids  closing program held at Baltimore, Maryland’s Western High School stadium and track. This program kicked off last Fall, and was a big hit with our family.

Basically what the Marathon Kids program is trying to do is to motivate kids, and their parents, to be active in getting the needed exercise each day. To build healthy habits into our lifestyle. Each participant logs in on their given sheet, when they have completed each quarter mile. When twenty-six miles are completed, then they have done the expected mileage minimum.

At the closing event they had quite a good turnout and the weather cooperated nicely. This gathering was to have us do a final couple of laps together, by school or group, then for each child that completed the program, to get a medal with a neck strap, plus a sport bottle and water(s). The volunteers and staff were terrific in hosting this, as was the school, by having a very upbeat and short program before the “final lap” was to take place.

If you have children, google Marathon Kids to see if they are in your state or area. They have existed for twelve years, and are growing each year too. Maybe contact them to get more information. Our emotional health is helped by things like this, plus it is of a great benefit in teaching our future generation that being somewhat fit is a good goal throughout our lives.

Benefits Of Vitamins

family-walk-shotWho isn’t in a hurry most of the time, especially if you have a busy job, kids to help out, plus a huge laundry list of  ’to do’  items? Yes, we live in the rat race for many years of our lives, but we need to feel good throughout each day, to make our days be much more enjoyable.

In past blogs I have mentioned what I do, plus why my energy level is high, even in my middle age. No one likes to feel sluggish each day, barely making it through. Eating healthy is vital, so also is making sure that our bodies have received all that they need to seize the day. By taking a daily multivitamin, you can supplement the nutrients your body may not be getting from the various foods that you eat. Purity Products Perfect Super Multi Greens include not just the needed vitamins, but also the extra vegetable benefits you might not be receiving from what you eat. The four capsules, that I take daily, provide an optimally balanced blend of dark greens, minerals, vitamins, plus phytonutrients too. It is specially balanced in accordance with the latest advancements in nutritional science.

Fast Weight Loss Tips

sleeping-woman-2How is it that losing weight seems so easy for some, but really hard for others. Each persons metabolism is different, so some with a higher metabolism are normally quick at losing that weight. Many factors are involved, but there are some fast weight loss tips that seem worth looking at.

Two Sunday’s ago in the Parade section was an article on “Fight Fat With Sleep“, by Michael O’Shea. He stated that diet and exercise are not the only ways to lose extra weight or to prevent childhood obesity, but getting the right amount of needed sleep. He also said that research showed that putting your kids to bed earlier may help them lose that extra weight. More children were overweight that slept less than ten hours, compared to those who got the ten hours sleep or more. Obviously other factors are important too, like what they eat on a regular basis and how active they are. Given similar factors for all of the kids, the ones who get more sleep, ten hours per night, were not gaining that extra weight that the other kids were.

In adults the sleep needed is less, of course, but the same holds true, per the research. Extra weight can be gained by not getting the sleep that is needed. Other symptoms happen also due to lack of sleep, such as fatigue, mood swings, and headaches. Getting some exercise within an active lifestyle  each day will bring  natural weight loss that is a healthy habit we should each want which normally will promote better sleep.

In setting up your daily schedule, see what slleep you need to be at your best, then work in your other activities. With our children, do the same thing, but allow the ten hours needed while they are still young and growing. This fast weight loss tip is great because it is said to alter our hormones in helping us in a roundabout way lose that weight by not overeating. If weight is a problem, then try Acai Slim, Botanic Choice, Dr. Sears Primal Force CO-Q10 or Maqui  Superberry today.

Healthy Recipe For Life

active-family-shot1What is it that drives us? Different things motivate each one of us. What gets me to become excited to the point of action may be different from you. A key question in having a healthy recipe for life is, what am I living for?

Many years back, I changed direction, starting to attend a Bible study then a Bible preaching/ teaching Church each Sunday. My life had new meaning, and I was more at peace in this fast paced, trouble filled world. In learning that our time here on earth is short, I needed to use my time wisely. God had never forced me, or anybody, to get to know Him or take time to fellowship with others or to do what He wants us to do. We have free choice. The best decision I have ever made was to get to know the God who is by receiving His Son, Jesus Christ, into my heart and life. That made my life more at peace with purpose and significance.

Early on I had heard that many roads lead to God, but that is false. There is only one road available and that is through Jesus. He is ‘the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Him’, as it says in John14:6.  If you are unsure how to proceed, ask God in prayer to help you. He will, His way, His timing. Also maybe find a good Church to attend. In all of the things that are to happen in our lives, the most important healthy recipe for life is a life that has total meaning and purpose. God has designed that uniquely for each of us. Take time today to get to know Him. You are special and have a chosen purpose.

For a heart healthy recipe, why not consider obtaining an Amazon book. Check out the connected websites Amazon Books selections right away. they have every book immaginable, even Bibles or Christian books to choose from.

man-successIt seems like the older we each get, the faster time goes. That is what we always heard, and that is a very true statement; at least it does for me! We need to make the best of the time  that we have.

With days speeding along, we need to make the best choices possible. Balance in our active lifestyle is important. Plan the activities you do and the rough time in each. For instance, work may be eight or nine hours, eating may be one and a half hours, down time could be about  three hours, exercise maybe one hour, sleeping seven hours, then prep and miscellaneous, like driving or meal prep/household choirs around three hours. Also if you have children or care for someone, that takes extra time. Many times it feels like we continue to do the same things over and over. Spice things up a bit occasionally by doing some extracurricular fun stuff. Take in a baseball game, get a snowball, fly a kite, take riding lessons, take up a craft or a hobby of interest, find ways to serve in the community, do a car rally, go on a picnic, swim in a pool, take a day trip, or even visit a museum or art gallery.

My vibrant life is so active that I need to blend in the right amounts of exercise, healthy eating, needed sleep, plus supplements and healthy energy drinks like Maqui Superberry or the Primal Force CO-Q10. Any way I can feel at my best each day, is the way I want to go. As you work on your plans for calculating the best balance in your life, consider trying some of these top products that have worked well for many of us.

Health Stress – Part 3

woman-in-mans-armsAs a famous actor once said, ” don’t worry, be happy”! Being happy can change depending on our circumstances. It doesn’t have to, but that is often the case for many. Living with stress, we’ll call health stress, can be our alli.

Norman Vincent Peale  said,” we aren’t what we think we are, but what we think, we are”. That is true; our thoughts do make us, so choose to think good thoughts while deleting the negative thoughts. Control what you think. Develop an attitudeof gratitude. Count your blessings, not your problems. Challenges will come, but don’t dispare; persevere and keep going. Guard against anger; cool off before responding, or if you must respond, smile and be polite. That will amaze whomever you are addressing, because most fight fire with fire.

Try meeting someone new via online dating and develop a healthy relationship. Get together with friends, your spouse, or your significant other, then do something fun. Take a walk together, have dinner or tea/coffee out, catch a play, go to the museum or zoo, or maybe even attend a ballgame together. Take some time to relax in your active lifestyle  and reduce your stress a bit. Watch a funny show or movie, take a warm bubble bath or jacuzzi, help someone in need, volunteer at a soup kitchen, school, or hospital, star gaze, read a book on a hammock outside, or go fishing. Just try a stress reliever that will help your vibrant life de-stress for a moment. If you are at work, take a break, leave the office for lunch, then seek some way outdoors, or away from your busyness, to recover, readjust, and restore yourself. Back at your desk, have a fun screen saver of a vacation scene, a photo or two on the desk to enjoy, and maybe some other fun mementos to remind you of pleasant memories.

Delicious Foods Rich in Antioxidants

With so much talk going around about antioxidants, it seems like everything is touting its high levels of these powerful substances. But what exactly is an antioxidant? Put in the simplest terms, an antioxidant does exactly what its name suggests. It’s a substance that inhibits oxidation. Specific to food, these antioxidants prevent this destructive oxidation from occurring in the body. By virtue of this characteristic, there are numerous health benefits of antioxidants.

If you’re looking to incorporate more antioxidants into your daily life, some of the best products to eat are dried small red beans, followed by wild blueberries, and dried red kidney beans. Other foods with desirable antioxidant numbers are artichokes, blackberries, prunes, raspberries, and more. Establishing a healthy diet doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Taking steps towards health can be as easy as incorporating a handful of these antioxidant-rich foods into your daily routine.

Healthy Stress – Part 2

total-gymWe find out in life that we can’t really change people to be what we want them to be. That doesn’t work: at least not in America! The person must choose to change themselves; that is actually the only possible way for us humans to change.

In my own life I’ve found that a close relationship with God, our maker, is the best way to be able to deal with the stresses of life. He doesn’t take away the tough situations, He sees us through them. Pray and ask Him to help; read your Bible for comfort, plus attend a good, active, Bible preaching Church. Surround yourself with genuine, loving, caring friends who share your faith. Pray together and maybe do a study fom the Bible. Pray, Lord change me and He will do it. Even in the very heavy storm seasons of life, as we persevere, plus stay close to God, He will see us through while giving us a peace and calm that all is okay. Trust in Him and draw near to God today.

Bodily exercise also helps as a stress reliever. Take a walk, swim some laps, or work out in your home gym for healthy weight loss. I exercise on my home gym  while watching a tv program, or listening to a motivational CD. It’s easier because I can exercise right at home. My fast weight loss tips are to eat right, drink more water, take effective supplements like Purity Products( that we offer), get enough sleep, and mix in some form of daily exercise. It is all easier than it sounds if in your vibrant life you incorporate these plus other healthy habits. For healthy stress, aren’t you worth the effort it takes to improve your healthy active lifestyle?

Healthy Stress

girl-at-watersideEvery day seems to have some sorts of stress involved in it. Stress needs to be our friend, not something that actually stresses us more, but healthy stress. Our health and wellness can be benefited by choosing to do things that are stress reducers.

We do realize that normal daily activities can automatically produce stress in our lives. Someone gets on our nerves, we don’t enjoy our work, our kids are uncontrollable at that moment, our day isn’t going as planned, or we seem to have a weight problem, are just a few of the situations that can arise. An inner conflict we are dealing with, may also be weighing in on us. Whatever does happen within our day, only we can control how we respond to it.

Take a moment for yourself. Take some deep breaths right now then ease your mind by thinking of a pleasant vacation you had, or a happy place you enjoy; maybe it’s your back yard garden. Whatever it is, take a moment and visualize that with your eyes shut. Our minds can be guided by us, so choose some pleasant thoughts to revitalize yourself for a moment.

Why not pamper yourself with some wonderful health and beauty products from Clarins or Skin Care RX? The healthy living habits are also available in the many beauty products offered by these top featured companies. Browse through their pages to see what is  of interest to you.

Tomorrow we will go over some practical stress releivers that you may want to try. Until then, happy shopping!!
