Poetry was not my thing in school, but it was intriguing. Certain poems really spoke to me, while many others weren’t able to capture my attention. Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road Not Taken” was my favorite for one main reason.
It always excited me to hear of a person who did things a bit differently. As long as it was honest, helpful to others, profitable, and fun, that would be my choice. I pretty much knew my road and where I was headed in life; at that point, so this idea of the traveler who took the less traveled road seemed inspiring.
So many people do jobs or tasks for their lifetime that they dread, so I wondered what path could I travel that would hold the keys to all of those things I so desired. Occasionally I bump into people that have done just that, but it is rare. Take a moment to ponder what other road you might of traveled if you weren’t doing what it is you are doing. Many of us just don’t have a clue! I’m still working on that.

We definitely each go through seasons in our lives. Everything was going my way for years, even with numerous challenges, and I had much going for me. Today I still do, however, the rug got pulled out from under me five or so years back, and the effects are still in progress, but much adversity has happened. One key is perseverence. Hang in there and keep at it; do not give up! We are all tempted to throw in the towel, but rewards eventually come to those who wait. It was Robert Kennedy who said that only those who fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. It is always darkest just before the dawn can give us hope. My greatest help has come from my faith in God, because He cares about me, and you too. Take comfort that as you turn to God, He will help and guide His way and His timing, as you put your life and trust in Him.

It is hard to believe, but summer for the kids is all but over. They have had lots of fun and sun, but now it
