We spoke months back about Marathon Kids programs and the terrific impact that they have on kids, families, and health fitness. With a little bit of effort you can feel much better and keep up with life’s fast pace. The race we are talking about today is our life’s race. If we run to win, we must do certain things to succeed.

In the Bible, Paul in the book of Hebrews spoke about running the race with patience that is set before us. We must to run to win. In faith we need to trust that God is in control. Life’s fast ride is one where we need to abstain from things that keep us from doing the right things that God would have us do. Avoiding sinful practices plus enduring the road ahead of us, is paramount to our winning. In 1 Corinthians, Paul admonishes us to run the race to obtain the prize. Our prize is won if we receive God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and live our life to His glory. Everyone wants to win, so in the roadway of life, make sure you know the One who gives true life.

Each of us will encounter numerous challenges and trials in our lives, but we must persevere and never give up. More growth comes during the challenging times in our lives. How we handle those hurdles will determine how we finish the race. Let go and let God help. Seek an accountability group or a close, trusted friend to help each other along the way. Healthy relationships are a blessing in many ways.
