One thing that soothes the soul is music. Put on some nice music in the background, that will help you to feel more at ease. Read a great book. Cook a nice meal or bake some bread and cookies. Deliver a loaf of bread or some cookies to someone. Helping others, helps you too! Eat a heart healthy diet, as healthy eating plus regular workouts/ exercise will reap positive benefits.
Splurge on yourself with a nice bath or a rented movie. Learn a new hobby. Many people enjoy crafts, plants, or photography. Opportunities abound for ways to get involved in a group of some sort. Keep busy, not harping on the loss or lonely feelings, but on positive thinking and solutions. Watch a funny movie and laugh out loud. Pity parties only hurt yourself, so think and act in a positive manner. Try coq10 for added health benefits.
Our greatest blessing was that God sent us Jesus His Son, which we celebrate in December. Open your heart and life to Him and ask God to help you. He loves you and me, so draw near to Him today and every day. Challenges still happen, but He will see you through.
As you live by a spirit of giving, you can feel better. Reach out to others to assist. The options are immense. Do a ministry that benefits others; maybe even with kids. Kids think and act young, plus their worry level is much lower.
Go out to a movie or pop some popcorn then watch one at home. Catch an old classic, or maybe a comedy. At a movie theatre you would be around others. Take a walk in the mall or a large department store, for some exercise and fitness, plus to be near others. Call someone that you can catch up with. Write someone a letter. Pray for others, especially ones in harms way or that are in need of prayer.
Fix a heart healthy meal then invite someone over to join in, like a friend or neighbor. Try building healthy relationships by finding a new friend through a qualified match making service. Read a book that you have wanted to read or choose a new one.
