Pilates is a form of exercise that was developed in the 20th century by Joseph Pilates in an attempt to rehabilitate World War I veterans. Since, it has become an extremely popular form of exercise practiced by millions around the world. It is most often described as a combination of yoga, calisthenics, and general stretching.
The discipline has proved successful for a variety of people with varying levels of physical ability. This is by virtue of the exercise routine’s slower and less strenuous series of motions. Other exercise routines can be jerky or incorporate too much weight lifting for the average participant. But this is not the case with Pilates. Even a novice can complete a routine without pain or stress.
If you are at all interested in learning more about Pilates, there are great introductory classes that can expand on your knowledge of the powerful workouts. This includes everything from Pilates mats to sandbag sets to resistance machines. But remember, a successful Pilates workout can also be completed without anything other than yourself and an instructor.
Whatever you do, do not continually overdo it during the holidays. With all of the parties, office functions, events, etc., where abundant foods plus baked goods are available, make sure you watch what you take in. Think heart healthy diet with healthy eating then mix in some exercise and fitness throughout the holidays. Don’t add to your winter coat! Take in the nourishment that you need, then stop. If you constantly overindulge, that will add to your stress level.
Also get the sleep and rest that you need. Take some time for you. Read a book or take a walk for twenty or so minutes. Put on some relaxing music. Clear your mind of the things that give you stress. Write down a ‘ To Do List’ then don’t over think it. Look up at the night stars. Get together with some friends or family, then enjoy each others company. Don’t sweat it if your place needs cleaning; just have some fun fellowship.
Surely there are many more ways to de-stress your holiday season, but find some ways to overcome those challenges. Try Total Gym, for or Tony Little’s workouts machine, as your home gyms. They provide awesome fitness workouts right in the comforts of your home.
If you are without a loved one, or not able to be with ones you want, find a way to lift yourself up. Look at old photos of shared times with some music in the background. Get together with some people that you can then create some new memories. Attend Church and enjoy the company of other people too. Stop by a Children’s Hospital or place where you can cheer up another, which will also help yourself.
Stick to your budget so as not to add stress later on, with high debt. Decide ahead how much you have to spend, then stick to it. If credit cards tempt you to spend, then cut them up, and only use cash at hand that you can afford to use. Bake some cookies, or visit a bakery to buy some Christmas cookies. Go to a tree farm and cut a small tree or obtain a wreath. Plan a special Christmas meal, with others if possible, then have candlelight plus some special music in the background.
Tomorrow we will conclude this series. feel free to e-mail me any suggestions that you might want to offer. For extra energy, try our recommended formula of coq10. The many benefits are described within our link to the Primal Force pages.

Don’t try to do too much. Enjoy the season. Learn to say no to things you do not want to do, or that you don’t have the time to do. Remove some things from your agenda that you don’t have time for. Be realistic and choose those things that you want to do. You can’t please everyone. Help others where you can: that will boost your spirit! Maybe sing some carols with others plus also do something that will be memorable for you.

The eyes of a child are truly remarkable, as is their perspective on things. A story just crossed my desk a week ago that expressed a child’s opinion with her teacher. In class one day, the teacher asked her class to write down the Seven Wonders of the World. Every child was busy writing except one girl who was deep in thought. The teacher asked if she needed help, to which she responded that she was having trouble narrowing down her list. The teacher told the girl to just write down the ones that she could, not realizing that this girl was going in a whole different direction.
The girl then wrote, to see, to hear, to touch, to feel, to smell, to laugh, and to love. Those are the greatest wonders that we have in this world as a true God given gift; ones that we take for granted. When the teacher read the girl’s list to the class, the room was
silent. Who really could argue that those are really the greatest gifts that we have. Check Sunday for the best gift.
With Christmas just one week away, why not check out our Health Books selection. Books of all sorts are available and ready to ship to you right away.
In school we might have all heard about the wonders of the world. This list, especially for the modern times, will vary quite a bit. The 7 Wonders of the Ancient World were the great pyramids of Giza, Egypt, the hanging gardens of Babylon, the statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemus, or Diana, in Ephesus, the Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnasse, the Colossus at Rhodes, and the lighthouse of Alexandria or Ishtar Gate. Numerous people feel that other treasures should be on that list, like Stonehenge.
For the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, the list also is subject to which group is involved, so many other special wonders could be in this group. The seven modern day wonders on this list are the Panama Canal, China’s Great Wall, the Taj Mahal, the Roman Colosseum, the Grand Canyon, Petra in Jordan, and Chicken Itza in Mexico.
Tomorrow we will reveal to you a childs list of the seven wonders. We each can make our own list with what is how we see things. For now, try Fitball Exercise Balls in your home gyms for great fitness workouts. They are durable, inexpensive, and ready to ship. Check out our selection right away today!
In an article called Herb Health, by Emily Listfield, she mentioned that certain herbs and spices can help lower ones blood pressure, ease arthritis, and slow the growth of some cancer cells. Five cited were Cinnamon, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Turmeric ( sorry, it wasn’t thyme).
Cinnamon might lower ones cholesterol, reduce blood sugar, and slow cancer in some. Parsley is a good source of vitamin C, iron, and flavonoids- which can help against cancer. Sage can prevent tissue damage caused by high blood sugar plus help protect one from heart disease. Rosemary can help protect brain cells from the aging process and from damage caused by free radicals that can lead to Alzheimer. Turmeric is an Indian spice that can help prevent joint inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Also it may help slow the spread of prostate cancer.
This Christmas season, consider trying Dr. Sears co-q10 for yourself and as a gift for someone else. His advanced formula will help one feel better with extra energy and stamina. Wait no longer; get it today!!
In a recent Sunpaper blurb by Joe and Teresa Graedon, they wrote about how taking ibuprofen can ease our nighttime trips to the bathroom. Even the best of folks have had to get up on occasion to go. Tests that involved a group of 80 men with prostate trouble, where half had Celebrex before bedtime and the other half had a placebo. After a month, the men on Celebrex had fewer symptoms and fared better then the men taking the placebo. Both Celebrex and ibuprofen are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Check with your doctor to get their advice. It is helpful to have a source that can fend off your bathroom trips, if
your doctor gives the green light. Regular exercise and fitness can help you lose weight, get in shape, plus sleep better. What a great combination, to feel and sleep better plus not wake up in the night to head to the bathroom! For great fitness workouts, try Body Solid Home Gyms right at home.
We can think the way we want to, so develop a positive thinking mentality. Have an attitude of gratitude that looks at the brighter side of life. Laugh out loud often. Create a ‘ happy journal ‘ of fun photos, jokes, and funny experiences. Maybe also keep an envelope of special letters saved that can cheer you up when you are feeling down. Think like a child so as to not worry too much! Replace any negative thinking patterns with positive thinking alternatives. Choose to be an optimist: your health will thank you.
Don’t be unrealistic in your transformation, just practical and reasonable. Be a ‘ glass is half full’ type person, not a half empty individual. Challenges will happen to everyone, as will down days and tough moments. Have the attitude that makes lemonade out of the lemons. You can be a positive person as you decide to be. You are able to reap many rewards as you do.
The holiday season is a great time to assess where you are as the new year is upon us. Seek optimal health with supplements that will help you feel and function better. For heart health, try taking omega 3 fish oil daily.
Doctors write numerous prescriptions for a myriad of things. They should tell each patient to have a daily dose of humor. Laugh a bit and help yourself to having a positive attitude. Dr. Ranit Mishori wrote a good article on this stating that we should look at the brighter side of life. Count your blessings, not your problems. As you do, your health can greatly benefit. Dr. Mishori said that the optimistic people surveyed had fewer health issues than the pessimists.
Optimists expect good things to happen then work towards that end. As challenges occur, optimists take appropriate positive action to operate by a can-do attitude. Pessimists may feel helpless then do nothing to help correct the setback. Stress and depression may even occur at that point. A pessimist can reform by learning new and better ways; moving towards being an optimist. We will visit this tomorrow, so please return! Be proactive and get walking, or running, on a Proform Treadmill. They are a top seller worldwide, so we offer exciting deals here.
