Choosing To Be Happy, Part 2

We each wait in line on occasion, get caught in traffic jams, or have someone try our patience.  Fears, anxiety, and frustrations are a part of our lives. Remember the old saying, ” no pain, no gain”? That is true. We grow through adversity, so don’t fight it or say why me.

The USA has been in turmoil over the past couple years, there’s war in the Middle East, plus world wide tension, but that never has to make us negative people. Give yourself a ‘positive attitude adjustment. You can choose to be positive, even when all else appears hopeless. For me, my marriage ended recently, my business went under, and it seemed very hopeless. I made a choice to work and pray towards getting my marriage back, to work positively with my children, and go into another type of business. Giving up was never an option.

Stewing around with a negative attitude only ultimately hurts yourself. Change your attitude to be positive in the wake of any circumstances. Incorporate ways to do that. For a special lift in feeling better, try omega berry/ omega berry fish oil.

Choosing To Be Happy,Part 1

How happy can one be when you are caught with many more things to do then your time will allow? One time  my drivers license renewal was due, but the paper had been tossed into a pile and forgotten. By the time I got to that pile, I noticed that form which was due to renew that week. I headed to our DMV station the next day, which was on a Friday. Friday’s here are not good at DMV! Long lines awaited, but I was determined to see it through. Ironically after going through all of the steps, new photo included, I saw that they had typed in the wrong street address in my laminated, finished license. I waited in line to show the last person that had given me the license. When it was my turn, I told her the mistake, to which she took scissors and cut my new license in half! Now my smile became an angry frown! She obviously didn’t care about what had just happened, or about my lost time.

The whole process had to be followed again; even my photo. At that moment I decided to not let her/them win. I chose to correct my thinking by having a positive attitude. Because of that, I got my first decent DMV photo too! Time was lost, but I won!!

Only you and I can choose how we will handle ourselves in those moments. Juggling schedules to handle our work, kids, errands, appointments, and a myriad of other things, is not easy for any of us. We will do a series on ‘Choosing To Be Happy’ for us to gain some insight on not letting our circumstances rule us.

Exercise on a regular basis will greatly help you feel, look, and react better within your active lifestyle. To get some awesome daily fitness workouts, get on Bowflex Treadmills awesome exercise equipment for home.

Working Out More Can Increase Eating

We can each affect our gains, as we increase our amount of exercise, by eating more due to being hungry after a workout. It may be that you need more water, but many people find themselves giving in to eating. An occasional reward for working out extra can be okay, but be careful what you do eat. An extra amount of working out may not burn off as many extra calories that you take in.

Try to track what you eat regularly. Know roughly how many calories you consume each day. If you are planning a big lunch or dinner, then compensate by eating less for the other parts of the day. Only keep heart healthy diet foods at home or as accessible. As you increase your workouts, talk with a nutritionist or study online about what may work best for you.

For help with getting antioxidant nutrition along with healthy weight loss, consider the powerful support of Maqui Superberry.

Older Adults Make Some Doctors Happy

An article in the AARP bulletin described how many medical doctors enjoy seeing older individuals at their offices. They help them with a myriad of situations, advising them on everything from a heart healthy diet to social activities. Dr. Joelson stated that he enjoyed learning about their lives and what they have been through. They have quite a history!

A recent study at the University of California, Davis Center for Healthcare Policy and Research, shows that Joelson, plus many other doctors who practice geriatrics, are very satisfied with their jobs. With more 6500 doctors surveyed, those doctors who worked with older patients had a high satisfaction rate. Among the most dissatisfied doctors surveyed, were gynecologists and surgeons, then also the doctors who worked over fifty hours per week.

To feel your best, try something that many doctors recommend; coq10. This remarkable product can offer many benefits, some of which are healthy weight loss, increased energy, heart health, and an improved metabolism.

dog-walkingOne amazing way to get fit with exercise and fitness is with a dog. An article by Allison Takeda described how much better it is for people to get active with their pet on brisk walks then going to a gym. It also saves a lot of money! Researchers in Great Britain had surveyed 5000 people, finding out that those with dogs exercised up to six hours more per week than those who worked out at a gym. Their study found that the average dog owner walked for up to 30 minutes twice daily, then longer three times per week. That added up to over eight hours per week of physical activity. The average gym attender had workouts under two hours per week.

Those researchers surmized that the exercise difference centered around their level of enjoyment. At least 86% of the dog owners said that they enjoyed the time exercising with their pets, while only roughly 16% rated going to the gym as favorable. Dog owners made time in their busy schedules to walk with their pet, while a large percentage of gym members made excuses to not go. Try the dog owners approach to get out regularly on a walk with their pet, and in breaking up their workouts into small bursts of activity. The time adds up to being more fit!

Get A Degree In Clowning

laurel-and-hardyA short article by Ranit Mishori,  called ” Send In The Clowns”, stated that degrees in medical clowning are now available to aspiring healers. The program is offered at the University of Haifa in Israel. Courses like comedy, improvisation, mime, and juggling are some to choose from.

Trainee clowns join doctors on their morning rounds. Research has shown that laughter is healing. Also, the medical clowns can cheer up children who may be undergoing surgery. This may be a growing fad; one that helps the medical industry greatly.

We have talked about how laughing each day is good for your health. Now we may also witness forms of it in medical institutions. Send in the clowns: they are good for what ails us! Try Gaiam Exercise Balls for more fun in your workouts.

You do not have to be super fit or overly coordinated to reap the many benefits that exercise and fitness can bring you. Each of us can do some form(s) of exercise each day to be better off then ones who don’t. Twyla Tharp in her book, ” The Creative Habit: Learn It And Use It For Life”, told of how the famous composer Beethoven would start each of his days with a walk, during which he would write down on his pad any notes or music ideas that he would think of. After his invigorating walk, he would get to his room at home to compose or practice his music. What Beethoven did, we can also do; at least as far as getting in those walks or runs to get our creative juices flowing.

Pick a low concentration exercise, such as walking, running, biking, hiking, or swimming, then do it every day that you can. Exercise for 30 minutes or greater. Have a notepad and pen handy for jotting down your thoughts/ ideas. Get to work right after, and let your creative juices flow!

For building up your muscular tone, try  Powertec Home Gyms. Their leverage equipment includes the very popular platepowertec2 loaded system, that allows you to add more weight plates easily. Safety, durability, and ease of use, make these home gyms one of the best in the industry today.

Creativity From Exercising

outdoors-couple-talkingA terrific story by Sally Koslow in Health Magazine revealed how exercise can help make us more creative. We have also mentioned how regular exercise can help our mood, protect our heart, plus lessen our chances of high blood pressure, stroke, obesity, and even diabetes.

Physical activity gets your mind into the bodily experience, so that your subconscious connections can better come about. Dr. Sawyer had also stated that solitary activities, like walking, biking, or running frees up ones mind to cross fertilize, helping you to ultimately be more creative. Exercise can change your brain to get your creative juices flowing.

When you exercise, Dr. Howard mentioned that your body will flush out a harmful hormone, cortisol, that can shut down the brain’s creativity and problem solving ability when you are stressed. Your pituitary gland release endorphins while exercising, which can produce that feel good high. Exercise also promotes the growth of new nerve cells plus more mental energy.

Any way you slice the fitness workouts pie, exercise has more positive benefits than healthy weight loss and keeping ones weight under control. Maqui berry can help you with your weight, plus with many additional positives.

A Love To Eat

One great cartoon was the Beetle Bailey one where Sarge said to Beetle, while they were sitting eating, ” my doctor said to only eat one half of the things that I like. That’s why I am only eating one half of my burger. I like your burger too ( he said to Beetle); let me have one half of that!”

We may at times try a new method to loose some weight. Some people starve themselves, only to find that they eventually head towards binge eating. If you starve your body, numerous doctors warn that you really don’t lose weight. Your metabolism slows down, but the long term results won’t necessarily happen.

The greatest way to lose weight is by incorporating a healthy lifestyle. Nutrisystem can help with healthy weight loss plans. The best plan of action is to eat sensibly, get the sleep and rest your body needs, and get regular exercise and fitness. If you have trouble getting those workouts, get up a half an hour earlier and do it. The rewards are well worth it!!

Just Do It 2

Do something for you! Get a manicure, pedicure, massage, or something that you have wanted. Splurge on occasion. Instead of cutting yourself down, when you are looking in a mirror, say something positive. Maybe say,  “wow, I have a spectacular_____.”  Build yourself up!

Never skip breakfast, but break the fast with something enjoyable. That early in the day meal normally gets worked off within the day. Have a time once in a while when you do nothing at all. That can be a ‘ mental health day’; something that we all need. Also have a special moment with your spouse, or friend, where you hit a restaurant late, just for dessert. Split a creme brulee, instead of eating a late meal. That is far fewer calories. Call someone that you have wanted to, but haven’t. If there are many on your list to call, choose one for now, then call them. That will help you, and them, feel better!

Those were some suggestions to consider. One final thought is that for many of us, our eating does not always give us all of the vitamins plus extra helps that can make us feel better. I find that my energy level has been much higher as I have been taking Purity Products supplements and vitamins. Omegaberry is one excellent supplement that gives me many added benefits that my healthy eating doesn’t cover.
