Remember the song by the Byrds, Turn,Turn,Turn? That late sixties hit came from words in the Bible. In the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 3, Solomon wrote about there being a time for everything under heaven: a time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what was planted, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from the embracing, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to seek and a time to lose, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
We definitely each go through seasons in our lives. Everything was going my way for years, even with numerous challenges, and I had much going for me. Today I still do, however, the rug got pulled out from under me five or so years back, and the effects are still in progress, but much adversity has happened. One key is perseverence. Hang in there and keep at it; do not give up! We are all tempted to throw in the towel, but rewards eventually come to those who wait. It was Robert Kennedy who said that only those who fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. It is always darkest just before the dawn can give us hope. My greatest help has come from my faith in God, because He cares about me, and you too. Take comfort that as you turn to God, He will help and guide His way and His timing, as you put your life and trust in Him.
