kids-10Life can be wonderful at times, but stressful in other moments. It is true, for adults especially, that life moves very rapidly. Here we are at the end of October, with only two months left in 2009. Talk about a fast year! Stressful situations happenin the family, at work, with driving in traffic, in seeking to do too much, in death or loss, plus numerous other ways. There was a great article titled,    ” Can Stress Make You Sick” by Dr. Ranit Mishori, which we will recap within a couple blogs today for you.

It is true that stress can lead to illness. Ones under stress can develop depression, more readily catch a common cold, and experience poorer wound healing. Stress affects our heart, weight, and skin. The human body may even pump the bloodstream full of adrenaline, when it is confronted by sudden danger. That hormone, along with cortisol, may raise your blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar, temporarily giving you additional strength, speed, and stamina. In certain instances, stress can save you life! You might be more vulnerable to illness at that point, because your immune system may be lower.

Stress can be lowered in many ways. Exercise and fitness help to lower stress. Get regular workouts, right at  home, with top qualitypowertec21 home gyms, like the Body Solid home gyms, Weider home gyms, or Powertec Home Gyms.
