Muscle Cramps

Once in a while you will get a muscle cramp. It might come during, or after, you exercise. For me, I may get a leg cramp after I lie down at night in bed, after possibly too strenuous workouts. There are many causes of cramps, but preventative medicine will at least help to lessen the instances.

While doctors are important in many ways, it is key to be knowledgeable in what you can do to help yourself. Some basics to consider are warming up, and down, when you exercise. Stretching will relieve muscle tension, so take time to do that. Massage those areas that may benefit from it. If you have a calf cramp, point your toes back towards your knees while gently massaging that area.

Staying hydrated is important. Drink water often to help your health plus possibly reduce cramping. Dark urine means that you are not drinking enough water. Take in extra potassium from bananas, orange juice, or tomatoes. Sodium and potassium can help relax your muscles.

Remember that good, preventative, self care is helpful in reducing muscle cramps. Guard your health! For awesome health benefits, try our coq10 supplements. Read about the many advantages it offers you on our website.
