Lose Some Excess Weight

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

As we get older it seems that we can’t eat anywhere near what we used to. I had an uncle that would eat whatever he wanted; that is until he hit his later years. Our metabolisms change, so we need to eat less or suffer the consequences.

Health.Com was spotlighting a way to lose some excess weight. What we eat later in the day should be smaller in portion. Also, don’t eat too late. You want to digest the food; even work some of it off. For dinner, try to eat a smaller meal, maybe around 6 or 6:30, if possible. Use a small plate to help control your portions.

Pack your own lunch, and keep it healthy. A friend that I work with eats salads, with some protein in it, like some tuna or chicken slices. Drink a lot of water throughout your day. As you quench your thirst, you might suppress your feeling of being hungry, or you might just eat less.

Only buy healthy things to keep at home. Most people live by the premise that if it’s in their home, they will eat it. Eat lots of fruit and veges. Yogurt is great also.

To assist you in getting your weight back to normal, try our Primal Lean weight loss. You will be amazed at how easy the process is with temporary help from this formula. Read about it on our website now, then order some yourself to begin revealing the new you!!

People of all ages are fighting the battle of the bulge. Eating is something that most of us enjoy, but we must control ourselves. We did an article a while back on Carole Carson, who is a senior citizen who not only lost her excess weight, but kept it off. She developed an amazing program that has been adopted in over 300 communities in the USA.

Carole’s ” Meltdown ” program is even promoted by AARP, the American Association of Retired Persons, with their Fat 2 Fit Weight-Loss Challenge. Making it fun was a big part of their mission. Also they want people to be informed with ways to cut calories, eat healthy recipes, and blend in exercise. Check out Carole Carson’s awesome book, ” From Fat To Thin,” for further advice.

Speaking of exercise, have you tried a medicine ball yet? Medicine ball exercises are performed by many athletes day in day out, for building strength plus endurance. Try our Valeo Medicine Balls, or other offered medicine balls on our website. Click the highlighted link here for more information.

Sleep More & Eat Less

Many people are so busy with so much to do, that some down time for regrouping is necessary. Because of that, sleep may be lost. Most of us really need 7 to 8 hours sleep each night to be at our best consistently.

In an article that the Nutrition Action Health Letter just published, they touched on this subject. They said that the reason you may be hungry, is due to not getting enough sleep.

In a study where twelve healthy young men  slept only 4 hours the first night, it showed where they ate 22% more calories. After the next night, where they slept 8 hours, they ate a normal amount. With less sleep, they were constantly hungry.

Other health problems can arise from lack of sleep also, as well as not having the energy that you need to propel through it.

For losing weight, now is the time to try Primal Lean Weight Loss. They make it seem so easy!!

Healthy eating is really not that hard to do, especially if you make a conscious effort to do it. Many foods that are good for you are fun to eat. The junk food is made to be ready to eat, inexpensive, accessible, and packaged attractively. Here are the final five from our friends at the Nutrition Action Health Letter:

  • Tomatoes- whether from a sauce, juice, soup, or slices/ whole, they are a great source for fighting off cancer. They are readily accessible in a wide variety of forms.
  • Sardines- a top fish choice, with high omega 3 fatty acids for a healthy heart, plus other health benefits. They are low in mercury, so you can eat them 3 to 4 times per week.
  • Onions- like the Egyptians, some health experts feel these may extend your life. Choose red ones first, then yellow, then white. The quercetin in them helps prevent oxidation of the bad cholesterol. Garlic is very beneficial for ones health also.
  • Quinoa- is a seed, not a grain, that is high in protein, with good amounts of fiber. Also the vitamin benefits are good.
  • Yogurt- is an excellent source of protein and calcium, plus a ” good ” bacteria that helps digestion and boosting ones immune system. You might even loose weight and body fat too!

Well, that was their list of numerous healthy foods to add to your list. We hope that you will share with us some other healthy foods that you eat regularly.

If you are having trouble getting your weight where you want it to be, get some assistance with Primal Lean Weight Loss capsules. You will be amazed at how easy losing weight can be, plus they offer a special guarantee!

There are times that we wish would change or go away. Feeling stressed out occasionally does happen! Health Magazine has some ideas that can help you kick any kind of stress that might come your way.

Separate the situations that you can control from those that you can’t. Don’t focus on what could happen, but put that out of your mind. Why worry, be positive thinking. Call a close friend and talk it out, if it continues to bother you. Don’t be obsessed over anything.

We are usually harder on ourselves, but we really shouldn’t be. Lighten up! Also, don’t be a perfectionist. Sometimes just be happy that you did a good enough job. Hand off some things where you can. Make me-time a priority. Relax once in a while; you’ve earned it!

If you are frustrated with some extra weight you want to do without, consider the Primal Lean weight loss solution. No worries with this approach, because it provides great results even though you won’t need to exercise or starve yourself. The losing of weight has never been so easy!!

What a week! Time surely does fly by quickly, so following wise, prudent advice is paramount to reducing stress, enjoying life, and having a higher quality of life. Here are several more from Dr. Oz’s list of Health Tips:

  • Don’t Be An Island. Remember Paul Simon’s song, I Am A Rock? That person he sang about surely was guarded, isolated, plus unhappy. Women seem to live longer than men for many reasons, but surely due to forming more friendships, sharing their problems, and enjoying others company. Seek some close friendships, then enjoy each other.
  • Avoid Fad Diets. The real secret is to develop a healthy lifestyle with proper eating, exercise, and rest. If you lower your daily intake, seek to eat as healthy as you can, and get some workouts, you should experience healthy weight lost. Fad diets are hard to stick with and many times, those folks gain the weight back eventually. Choose healthy living.
  • Visit Your Doctor. Get to your doctor annually, at least, to get checked out. They can be a vault of information. Also they will alert you to any problems you may have, from their tests, then guide you to a specialist if needed.
  • Go For A flat Belly. Okay, most people do not have a flat belly, especially as they age. Seek to trim yourself down to where you should be. Talk with your doctor or go online for more information. Per Dr. Oz, your belly should measure half or less than your height. If you are 6 feet tall, then your belly should be no more than 36.5 inches. Find out where your BMI, body mass index, should be, then set a goal to reach that. Get a friend or coworker to compete against!

New Fitness Views Replace Old Views, Part 2

We started our article yesterday on Carole Carson’s recent book, ” From Fat To Fit“. She compared and contrasted the old views with the new ways of looking at fitness from this year forward.

Old view points are being replaced with new innovations. Here are a few we want to share with you:

OLD VIEW:  It is hopeless.        NEW VIEW: You Can Do It!!!     You can lose that extra weight, get exercise, & make healthy choices!

OLD VIEW:  Thin is in.               NEW VIEW:  Healthy is in!        Encourage yourself to incorporate healthy habits into your active life.

OLD VIEW:  If you are fat, you are a bad person.   NEW VIEW:  Obesity is a disease that is treatable. Seek out good solutions & help.

OLD VIEW:  A low fat diet is needed.   NEW VIEW: Manage your total calorie intake.   Too many calories per day can add weight.

OLD VIEW:  Get medical intervention.  NEW VIEW: Employ a healthy lifestyle!  Live your life with prevention. Guard your health.

If we correct our thinking to be positive while looking for ways to live a healthy lifestyle, the rewards will be many. Only you can make the decision to think healthy, plus make each day count. Don’t overstress yourself, just get those daily victories!

We will wrap up tomorrow with Carole Carson’s new views on great advice on how to get and stay healthy. Many folks are using a brand of coq10 to help them with feeling better and weight loss. Check out our recommendations now, then come back tomorrow for our wrap up of this enlightening topic.

Witty Sayings 4

Today it is a pleasure to pass on some of the advice, called Sage Advice, from Abraham Lincoln. These nuggets are timeless; as true today as they were in President Lincoln’s era.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.

You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

You cannot further brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.

You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away men’s initiative & independence.

You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

These words are very fitting for today and should be followed by each of us, especially adhered to by our elected government  officials. Pass this on to any that you feel would help make a difference.

Maqui Berry is a very high antioxidant supplement that helps promote better health. Read all about this in the link to our website that gives more information on it.
